What is Deferred Admission?
It is the option that allows an admitted student to postpone their enrollment at a college or university for a specified period
Typical deferral period: 1 year
Important:
- Must commit to a college before requesting a deferral
- Must have a purpose and a plan for the time out of school before making deferral request
- Acceptable reasons for deferment period:
- to explore career interests
- to complete service projects
Process of Deferring Admission:
