Dear General Education Team,
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding support and guidance provided by your team throughout my MBA application journey, particularly under the expert supervision of Mr. Atul Mohan.
From the initial stages of crafting my resume to the nerve-wracking moments before hitting the submit button for my applications, General Education team and Mr. Atul Mohan played an instrumental role in shaping my candidacy. Their commitment to excellence and attention to detail truly set them apart.
Mr. Atul Mohan deserves special recognition for his unwavering dedication and expertise. His insights into the intricacies of the MBA application process, combined with his personalized approach, proved invaluable. Atul not only helped me identify and highlight my strengths but also provided constructive feedback that significantly enhanced the quality of my essays and overall application.
I am delighted to share the exciting news that I have been admitted to the Yale School of Management. This achievement would not have been possible without the strategic guidance and support I received from the General Education team and, specifically, Atul Mohan.
The meticulous attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to my success demonstrated by General Education and Atul Mohan have exceeded my expectations. I am truly grateful for the partnership and am confident that the skills and insights gained through this process will serve me well in my academic and professional journey.

I reached out to General Education after finding it difficult to manage my applications. I initially discussed this with Francis who helped understand my requirements in detail and introduced me to Mr. Rohit Khanna. Rohit was very insightful and laid out a plan to target the right B-schools for my profile. I enrolled for the IMAP 5 B-school application package as I needed comprehensive help from them. Rohit was very helpful, and we planned out the essay strategies together. He helped review and finalize them. He also conducted a mock interview to help me get the confidence I needed to get ready. I would also like to thank Sayantani for conducting the other mock interview for LBS. It was very insightful and helped me get a good perspective of what to expect.

I reached my interview venue a couple of minutes early. I was asked to wait with other candidates who went before me. Now, it was my turn. The panel had 3 members, and each one was a professor. The interview was focused mostly on the interviewee and how much the person is aware of his/her industry. The interviewers identified my weaknesses almost immediately, and questions on that followed soon. One should be aware of the trends in his or her industry. The alumni were keen to get more clarity about my answers to the questions asked than asking their own questions.

Hi Anoop,
After crossing the first hurdle, GMAT, of applying to a B-school, I decided to seek professional help from General Education for my applications. Amith Kumar, Asst. Manager of Business Development, was prompt in his responses and did a terrific job of connecting me with my consultant, Prasanna. Prasanna scheduled a call to understand my profile and accordingly, recommended fitting schools. We worked on 5 B-school applications, with a mix of MBA and MFIN programs. Conveying your goals, interests, and story with brevity is an art, which comes with experience and clarity of thought. This is where Prasanna’s expertise was invaluable in my applications. On average, we worked on 3-4 drafts before finalizing every essay until I could communicate my responses efficiently. With her guidance, I got interview calls from all the 5 schools, secured admits from 2 schools (MBA – McGill and MFIN – Cambridge), and was waitlisted at 2 schools (MBA – Schulich and MFIN – LBS).
I owe Prasanna a lot for making this tiring journey, of applications, fruitful. Thank you so much.
Hope you had a great holiday!
Best Regards,
Gurjeet Singh

Hi Anoop,
Happy New Year! I hope you are doing well.
I am not sure if you are aware that I started at Tepper in the Fall (I’ve just completed my first semester). I never got a chance to reach out soon after coming to Pittsburgh; it’s been quite a ride! I’m using the winter break to catch up on a lot of pending personal tasks – just wanted to reach out and thank you for pushing me to take the leap and apply last year!
Hope you had a great holiday!
Best Regards,

‘Very dismayed with another consultancy service in the market, I contacted Amit from General Education only weeks before my first deadline. Amit was very helpful and reassuring during this process and made sure that I was able to connect with consultants who knew the admissions process very well.

Vikash, my consultant guided me throughout the entire application process. He made the process very easy. He was well versed with the market and was very good at pointing me in the right direction. He really helped me work on my CV, as well as streamlining my short term and long term goals. Vikash was always prompt in responding and was never late for any session and was very instrumental in even guiding me through the interview stage. I successfully gained an admit at HEC Paris.

I would definitely recommend General Education’s services to anyone applying for an MBA’.

I connected with Francis from General Education team and after reviewing my profile he recommended that I work with Atul Mohan, Cornell University Alumnus. I had opted for a 10 school package. I had an amazing experience working initially with both Francis and Atul on shortlisting my schools and later on with Atul to work on my application. He showed in depth knowledge on how to express your story for each school. The whole process spanned over a few months and Atul was always available whenever I needed extra help. He made sure I was able to complete my application on time and prepared me for the interviews. Even though he was in Bangalore and I was in Mumbai, distance was never a hindrance in the process. Things went smoothly and I was able to get an admit from Cornell and NYU. To sum it up, I couldn’t be more satisfied.

I connected with Francis from General Education team and he connected me to a couple of consultants for discussions regarding my profile. I eventually decided to work with Arjun (HEC Paris Alumnus). Arjun is a senior consultant and had a very in-depth idea of the application process. I opted for the 5 School Package and we spent the first few weeks polishing my resume and building the profile. Arjun was very patient and took my inputs while giving suggestions. The entire service went on for about 6 months. I eventually received interview calls from Chicago Booth, Kellogg, Wharton, and Michigan Ross. Finally, I got admitted to Kellogg. Would like to extend my sincere gratitude to General Education for all the help.

I spoke to Francis from General Education team who connected me with Atul (Cornell alumnus) based on my profile. Atul was very knowledgeable and had a lot of insight regarding the programs. This gave me confidence and I opted for the 10 school package. Initially, a counseling session was done where my profile was evaluated in detail along with the B-Schools and suggestions were given. Once all the B-Schools were decided upon, we started working on the applications and essays in order of the deadlines. Atul was very approachable and available whenever required. This was especially helpful as I was not getting too much free time due to my work. The essay reviews were invaluable and eventually I was able to perfect them and secure the interview calls. For each interview, the General Education team provided questionnaires and mocks hence I was well prepared. Overall the process was very smooth and I was able to secure admits to Oxford, Rotman, Babson, UNC, McDonough. I will be opting for Oxford and I would like to thank everyone at General Education for making it possible.

Thanks a lot to Vineet Shekhar and General Education team. I would like to thank you heaps for your help and continued assistance! I remember while writing the LBS essays I was trying to be dynamic and change too many things, in hope for improving upon them but without a proper guidance. The hardest parts of the entire LBS application were the essays that were turning out to be nightmares for me. Your deep analysis and wisdom, prompt replies and highlighting finer mistakes in my essays resulted in a flawless final draft of my application essays. The LBS essays also set a ground for all other essays I wrote for other Business Schools. Irrespective of the results, which I am hoping to be positive, I believe that it was a phenomenal team work and a great guidance by you. Thank you once again.

She was very supportive and always available to sort out any doubts or concerns I had regarding the college, the application, or my even my own goals. I am not a seasoned writer and Priyanka’s guidance on how to structure my essays and put my points across logically was tremendously useful. Abhinav was a great help and his willingness to review essays at short notice was critical for me to be able to apply to all the schools I wanted to cover. His frank and open style helped me cut down the flab and drill down into what exactly I wanted to say on my essays. I would definitely recommend him as a consultant. Finding the right consultant is very important but tricky. On flagging the problem to Gen-Ed’s team, they were extremely proactive and helpful. Prior to starting applications last year, I was quite oblivious and distorted with many questions running through my head viz. how to go about, which schools to apply, which schools would suit my profile, how do I market myself appropriately, how much details to give, how do I manage within the word limit? All I knew is that with a 660 GMAT, my application is gotta be substantial! But the question was How? I didn’t know from where to start. I knew I needed help! I got in touch with Gen-Ed based on some impressive testimonials I read on their site. At first impression, they seemed quite welcoming compared to other obstinate counselors. My expectations from the counselor were simple Good knowledge of B-school expectations, quality time, assistance with ideating and tremendous patience! I knew I was in the right hands the day I started working with Pankaj. He fulfilled all my expectations with 200% commitment and focus. The most important part of the application is to come up with the RIGHT content for it. This is where Pankaj’s experience was outstanding. He patiently reasoned every point with me till I was convinced. He not only helped me think right but also ensured that I portrayed it with the appropriate justifications. His ability understand the essay expectations and guide your thought process accordingly is very commendable. At the end of it, I was able to build on application substantially well and was very convinced with the output! Finally, it did pay off! I was admitted to 2 of the most coveted B-schools in the world INSEAD and ISB. After the extremely positive experience, I also took their services for scholarship applications. I was granted a scholarship of Eur 25,000 from INSEAD! In totality, I highly recommend Gen-Ed as a very experienced MBA counselor with substance! They might be a little steep, but its totally worth every penny if you compare them to other relatively cheaper counselors who turn out to be mere editors!

I had taken the services of General Education for the preparation of my application for applying to ISB and some of the MBAex courses in the IIMs. The assigned consultant Manav was of immense help. The most important aspect of an essay is to present a clear picture of what one wants to pursue and to show the relevance of the career path till date. In this regard, even though I had some idea but speaking to Manav brought a much required clarity about the future roles I wanted to pursue. He also handled and gave much wanted insights into the small nuances of the essays. Considering how the essays for IIMs and ISB differed, one being general and the other having two separate specific essays, He made me aware of the approach one has to take while writing the respective essays. All in all, the experience was very helpful as a lot of times applicants do not realize what a B school is expecting out of the applications and this is where a professional help is of immense importance. So with a successful convert of IIM C MBAex and ISB Hyderabad PGP program, I would like to thank General Education for their help.

Admit from both schools has confused me as Kelley is a highly ranked school and Mays is an averagely ranked one. But Kelley is costing me 52 lacs (even after including scholarship and GA) and Mays is costing me 27 lacs (including the scholarship). Mays’s low cost and the career opportunities that Texas provides as compared to Indiana are currently pulling me towards Mays but the GA and the Kelley brand are pulling me towards Kelley.
