HHL Leipzig admit for Technology Consultant
Apurv Adarsh, a software developer and technology consultant has 8 years of experience, working with a few companies. With a GMAT score of 660 and inclination for high-ranking but also high on return-on-investment schools and having unsuccessfully applied to a few schools earlier, he consulted our counsellor, Ankur Bhatia.
Keen on applying to German b-schools, especially HHL, he ended up receiving an admit from the school. Additionally, he also received an interview call from the other school he worked with Ankur on – WHU.
We share some insights below from our interaction with him and wish him the best for his future endeavors.
What was the main challenge you faced prior to taking our services? Please elaborate briefly.
I had a low GMAT score of 660. When I had applied for CV review the previous year, my CV was getting rejected. Additionally, I was not able to put down my thoughts in a concise manner. So, I wanted a counsellor who could resonate with my ideas and amplify them.
Were you confident about where you wanted to apply and the kind of help you required for that?
I had somewhat figured out that I wanted to focus on an ROI-school, since I had to fund my education through loans. I want to keep the financial debt to the minimum.
I just wanted help in identifying the schools, which might have suited my scores.
How did you start your search for a solution and how did you find us?
I consulted a few friends and did my research online, and thus found General Education.
What made our approach and services stand out from others in the market?
Mainly the reviews and the relatively reasonable pricing as again I was moving on a tight budget.
What was the main concern that would have prevented you from enrolling for our services?
Whether the consultant would be able to see through my personality and make suggestions accordingly.
Did you feel our counselor and consultants’ added value to your application? If so, what did you like most about them?
I would like to mention that my counselor, Ankur Bhatia, greatly improved my CV. He highlighted my extracurricular activities and made my tech-heavy CV more suitable for an MBA. As a result, I started receiving positive feedback on my CV. The Statement of Purpose (SOP) that he helped me write was quite captivating. He assisted me in emphasizing my achievements and extracurricular activities since my school days, presenting them in a compelling way that aligned with my current work and goals. Previously, my SOP was dull and uninteresting, filled with clichéd statements about an IT engineer’s work. However, after listening to my story, Ankur made me realize that there were many noteworthy points to include. Together, we created a strong SOP.
Would you recommend our services to anyone else? If not, please tell us how we can improve.
Yes, I would recommend the services.
