About the ASU program
The Graduate College and the School of Public Affairs as sufficient to grant a degree. Programs of Study for the MPA total 42 hours of graduate credit and include core courses, concentration courses (if applicable) and approved electives. Students have 6 years from the term of their first class to complete the degree.
No more than 12 credit hours of graduate courses taken before admission to the School and can be included in the Program of Study. Students from institutions other than ASU may transfer a maximum of 12 credit hours to the MPA degree program, provided those classes were not used to satisfy requirements for another degree earned. All transfer credit must be approved by the MPA/MPP Director.

Cost for MPA/MPP in ASU
Approximate cost per year for tuition and fees (full-time) is:
$15K – resident
$26K – non-resident
$30K – international
Application deadline
ASU MPA/MPP has rolling basis for fall, spring and summers intakes. Aspirants can also apply as late as 30 days prior a given semester starts, but it is advisable to apply 60-90 in advance for semester that one wish to begin.
MPA and MPP Classes are taught in the following modes:
Physical lecturing: one evening per week, 6 – 8:45pm
